Department of Information Science and Engineering, SDMCET, organized a Workshop on “Intel Nervana AI Academy on opportunities in Artificial Intelligence” on  December 5, 2017. As AI and automation are reducing job opportunities in IT Industries, on other hand AI, Machine learning, data science and Internet of Things are also creating job opportunities. Faculty and students participated from various branches and learnt what Intel is doing with machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence.

The Chief guest Mr. Jay Mahalingam (Masters Degree in IT from the University of Newcastle and Data Science Certificate program from the University of Washington), Mr. Pranav Nair and Mr. Rakesh delivered the talk on machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence (AI). Participates get benefited by Intel Free software, tools, and libraries, etc. Students will get an opportunity to become an Ambassador – invited to be a part of an exciting new program for Institute students to engage with Intel.

Prof. V. K. Parvati welcomed the gathering. Dr. S. R. Biradar, Dr. Rajashekarappa ,Dr. Vandana S. Bhat, Prof. Anita Dixit, Prof. Tanweer A, Prof. S. S. Joshi, and other faculty members and students of ISE, CSE, E&C participated in the programme. Dr. Jagadeesh  D. Pujari(HOD-ISE) concluded the programme with vote of thanks.
