Faculty
Dr. Keshava Joshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor of B.E in Chemical Engineering from REC, Hulkoti (KUD, Dharwad), Master degree in M.E in Chemical Engineering from TKIET, Warnanagar (Shivaji University) and Ph.D. from NITK-Surathkal, Karnataka India. He is guiding 1 Ph.D. student at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and guided around 20 batches of U.G. students. He has Conducted 01 Conference, 02 Workshops and 03 seminars in the area of chemical and environmental engineering. He has published around 12 no. of papers at national and International Journal and 07 at conferences. He is the principal investigator for the Project entitled “Denitrification of municipal and industrial waste water using spouted bed bioreactor” for an amount of 20 lakhs sponsored by VGST, Bangalore. His area of interest is Environmental biotechnology.
Dr. Sreekanth B is an Professor in the department of Chemical Engineering at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur (Bangalore University). Master degree in Chemical Engineering from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur(VTU, Belagavi) and Ph.D. from Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta, Karnataka, India. He is Guiding 1 Ph.D. student at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and guided 5 batches U.G. Projects. Also Bagged best student project award by KSCST for the year 2015-16. Published 16 papers in International Journal, one paper in National Journal and one in conference proceedings and also a life member of ISTE and Electro-Chemical Society of India.
Dr. Shivanand Y. Adaganti is an Associate Professor & HOD in the department of Chemical Engineering at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from REC, Hulkoti (Karnataka University), Master degree in Chemical Plant Design from NITK, Surathkal. Guided 20 U.G. projects, Conducted one International Conference and 10 Workshop on Process Automation and Nanotechnology and achieved 2 awards, Published 12 papers at International Journal and at Conferences and life member of IIChE and ISTE.
Prof. Ashoka H.S. is an Assistant Professor in the department of Chemical Engg.at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor degree in chemical Engg. from R.V. College of Engg. Bangalore. Master degree in Chemical Plant Design from NITK, Surathkal and guided 16 U.G. Projects, Conducted 01 Conference and attended various Workshops on EMS, IPRS Nano Technology etc. And awarded special best project from KSCST, Bangalore. Published 04 no. of papers in National and International Journals and life member of IEI and ISTE.
Prof. S.S. INAMDAR is an Assistant Professor in the department of Chemical Engineering at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Karnataka University, RTE Engg. College Hulkoti; Master degree in Chemical Engineering from RTE Engg. College Hulkoti., Karnataka and guided more than 30 U.G students. Conducted 1 Conference on Energy and 4 Workshops on Process Control and Safety and achieved Exemplary Teaching award. Published 6 no. of papers at International Journal and 2 at conferences and life member of ISTE and IE.
Dr. Lokeshwari Navalgund is an Asstiant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. She obtained her Bachelor of B.E in Chemical Engineering from REC, Hulkoti (KUD, Dharwad), Master degree in M.Tech in Industrial Pollution Control from KREC Surathkal (Mangalore University) and Ph.D. from NITK-Surathkal, Karnataka India. She guided around 20 batches of U.G. students (05 are KSCST funded). She has Conducted 01 Conference and 02 seminars in the area of chemical and environmental engineering. She has published around 15 no. of papers at International Journal and 03 at conferences. She is a member for the Project entitled “Denitrification of municipal and industrial waste water using spouted bed bioreactor” for an amount of 20 lakhs sponsored by VGST, Bangalore. Her areas of interest are air quality modeling and waste water treatment and management.
Prof Rashmi S. H. is a Lecturer in the department of Chemical Engineering at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. She obtained her Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad. She is pursuing her Ph.D. under VTU, Belagavi. Conducted 03 Seminars and 02 Workshops in the field of Chemical Engineering. Published 03 papers in International Journals and 04 at conferences and a life member of “The Institute of Engineers”.
Prof. Kirankumar Rathod is an Assistant Professor in the department of Chemical Engineering at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He Obtained his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Bapuji Institute Engineering and Technology, Davanagere, Karnataka. Master degree in Energy Engineering from National Institute Technology, Tiruchirappalli, Taminadu. Pursuing Ph.D. in Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka India. Published 06 no. of papers at International Journal and 02 at conferences.

- Analyze, design and professionally practice in the area of Chemical Engineering and allied disciplines by acquiring good knowledge of basic sciences and Chemical Engineering.

- PO 1. Engineering knowledge : Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO 2. Problem analysis : Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
- PO 3. Design/development of solutions : Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

- PO 13. Plant operations and Control : Conceptualize the knowledge and information gained in mass and energy balance, thermodynamics, transport phenomena, kinetics, unit operations, process control, equipment design that can be used in design, control and optimizing the Chemical processes.
- PO 14. Quality, Feasibility and impact studies : Develop an integrated process and modify it attributing to economy, environmental friendly, ethics coupled with safety by applying principles of chemical engineering.
- PO 15. Development of engineering solutions through experiments : Apply knowledge of chemical engineering in solving both industry and academic problems using experimental methods including design of experiments and simulation to analyze, interpret and present the data.
