Dr.Prashantha.C is an Professor in the Department of Management at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering from Malnad college of Engineering, Hassan. Master degree in Business Administration from Indira Gandhi National Open University. Ph.D. from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. Guiding 3 Ph.D. students at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, and guided 10 U.G. and 150 PG. students. Conducted 10 Workshops on FDP & PDP. Published 12 papers in National Journals and 5 papers in International Journals.
Prof. Mahesh M. Vanjeri is Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from KLE Society’s Lingaraja College of Commerce, Belagavi. Masters degree in Business Administration from KLE Society’s Institute of Management Studies & Research, Hubballi. He has submitted his PhD thesis to Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, Karnataka, India. Published a paper each in an International and National Journals and presented two papers in National and International conferences.
Dr. Saleem G Sonnekhan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from A.S.S College of Commerce, Gadag. Master degree in Business Administration from Rajrambapu Institute of Technology, Islampur. Ph.D. from University of Pune, Pune, Maharashtra, India. Guiding 2 Ph.D. students at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and guided 34 U.G. and 128 PG. students. Conducted 7 Conferences and 13 Workshops on FDP & PDP. Published 11 papers in National Journals and 4 papers in International Journals.
Prof. Shilpa H. Arakeri is a Lecturer in the department of Management Studies at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from JSS College, Dharwad. Master degree in Business Administration from KLS’s Institute of Management Education and Research, Belgaum. Guided around 60 PG. students. Published two papers at International Journal and six at conferences.
Prof. Supreeta M Lagali is a Lecturer in the department of Management Studies at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. She obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from KLE society’s J.G.College of Commerce, Hubli. Master degree in Business Administration from VIMS, PG center of Gulbarga University (now known as Sri Krishnadevaraya University), Bellary. Shortly submitting PhD thesis to Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, Karnataka, India. Guided around 60 PG. students. Published two papers at International conferences.
Mrs. Bharathi V. Sunagar is a Lecturer in the Department of Management Studies at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Karnataka University, Dharwad and her Master degree in English from Karnataka University , Dharwad. She also has done her Masters in Business Administration from Basaveshwara Institute of management Studies, under Karnataka University, Bagalkot . She has also cleared SLET examination. She has been guiding PG Students for their projects under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and around 60 PG. students. She has conducted many workshops , Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Communication Skills, Employability skills, Presentation Skills to name a few for PG & UG students. Published 11 no. of papers at national and International conferences and journals.
Mr.Prashant U.Gujanal is a Lecturer in the Department of Management Studies at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He has obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Karnataka Arts and Commerce College, Dharwad. Master degree in Business Administration, from KLS’s Institute of Management Education and Research, Belgavi, Karnataka. He has guided 54 PG students. Conducted 3 Workshops. Published one paper in International Journal and five papers in National Journals. He has presented seven papers in various conferences.

About the Department
- The Department of Management Studies is the youngest constituent department of the prestigious SDM College of Engineering & Technology, Dharwad, in Karnataka. The department is blessed under the leadership of revered Dr.D.Veerendra Heggadeji, Dharmadhikari of Shrikshetra Dharmasthala as President, Sri. Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Society, Ujire (D.K). The Department of Management Studies is an Autonomous department under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgavi and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
- It is situated on a 16 acre campus in the midst of greenery of Dhavalagiri. The legacy of Dharwad, the “Vidya Kashi” of Karnataka, defines our landscape and our institutional energy. The Department has state of art facility with modern technology with all resources and capabilities. A team of well qualified full time faculties with excellent credentials, industry and research experience work relentlessly to enhance the management knowledge and skill sets of the students. The Department of Management Studies is also a recognised Research Centre under VTU, Belgavi, for doctorate programmes.
