Professor and Head

Dr. A. A. Kittur is Professor in the Department of Chemistry at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. She has obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Karnataka University, Dharwad. She received her Master degree in the year 1989-90 from Karnataka University, Dharwad. She got her Ph.D. from Karnataka University, Dharwad India in the year 2005. She has published 34 research papers in International Journal and 03 in national journals.  She has presented 12 papers in international conferences and 09 in national conferences. She has contributed two book chapters published in Springer and Elsevier publications. She has undertaken one DST Project worth 4.44 lakhs and presently one VGST Project worth 20 lakhs is on going. She is life member of ICS, ICC, INS & IAE USA.

Associate Professor

Dr. Shashidhar Reddy is an Associate Professor in the department of Chemistry at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka. He obtained his Master degree and Master of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga. He received his Ph.D. from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga.  Karnataka. In addition to this, he has worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Material Research Centre, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore from 2004 to 2006. He is guiding Ph.D. students at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and He has undertaken research project sanctioned by VTU, Belagavi. He has published 35 research papers in National and International Journal and more than 30 papers presented in National and International conferences. He is a life member of ISCA, ICS and MISTE.

Assistant Profesor

Dr. M. A. Phaniband is an Assistant Professor in the department of Chemistry at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in May 2002 from  Karnatak University’s  J.T. College, Gadag.. He received his Master degree in Chemistry on May 2004  from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He received his Ph.D.   in Chemistry on Dec 2010 from Karnatak University, Dharwad, Karnataka, India. He is guiding Ph.D. students at Bharthiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He has published thirteen papers at International Journal and seven at conferences.

Prof. Asma M Tatagar is an Lecturer  in the department of  Chemistry at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. She has obtained her Bachelor of Science from Karnataka University, Dharwad. She received her Master degree in the year 2008 and M.Phil in Chemistry in the year 2009  from Karnataka university,Dharwad. She is pursuing her Ph.D. from Bharthiar University, coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India. She has published five research papers at International Journal and one at conference.

Prof. Sahana S. Nayak is Lecturer in the department of Chemistsry at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. She has obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Karnataka University, Dharwad.  She received her Master degree in Organic Chemistry in the year 2004 from Karnataka University, Dharwad.

  • PO 1.   Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO 2.   Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  • PO 3.   Design/Development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

  • PO 5.   Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
