Dr. Kumar I. Maddani
Dr. Kumar I. Maddani
Professor and Head

Dr. K.I. Maddani a Professor in the department of Physics at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor degree in science from C.S.B. Science College, Ramdurg and master degree from Karnatak University, Dharwad.  He completed Ph. D. from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He is guiding three Ph.D. students at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. He has conducted a National workshop on ‘Nuclear Energy for 21st Century’. He has published 5 research articles in the International Journals and 2 in conferences. He has reviewed several papers for international journals.

 

Dr.Muttanagoud N. Kalasad

Associate Professor

Dr. M N Kalasad is an Associate Professor in the department of Physics at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor degree in science from JT College, Gadag and Master degree in Physics from Karnatak University Dharwad. He completed Ph.D. from Karnatak University. He is guiding two Ph.D. students at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. He has published 10 papers in International Journals and 12 at conferences. He has conducted one international colloquium. Presently, he is deputed to University of Illinois, Urban Champaign, USA under C.V. Raman fellowship for Post Doctoral Research.

P.V. Raghavendra
P.V. Raghavendra
Lecturer

Mr. P.V. Raghavendra is a lecturer in the department of Physics at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad, Karnataka, INDIA. He obtained his Bachelor degree in science from Sri JCBM College, Sringeri and Master degree in Physics from Kuvempu University, Shimoga.  He is pursuing Ph.D. in Karnatak University, Dharwad, India. He has conducted one international colloquium, one national workshop and one short term training program (STTP). He has published 2 papers in International Journals, 6 at conferences and attended more than 15 workshops. He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

Praveen N. Vaidya

Mr. Praveen N. Vaidya is working as a lecturer in the department of Physics at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad.  He obtained his Bachelor degree in science from Shri Annadaneshwar College of Science, Arts and Commerce, Naregal and Master degree in Physics from Karnatak University Dharwad.  He is pursuing Ph.D. in Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka. He has conducted one national level workshop on “Nuclear Energy in 21st century”.  He has attended more than 20 workshops.  He has published a research paper in an International magazine and presented two papers in conferences.

Manjappa C.K.

Lecturer

Mr. Manjappa C.K. is working as a lecturer in the department of Physics at SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad.  He obtained his Bachelor degree in science from MASC College Haunsbhavi and Master degree in Physics from Karnatak University Dharwad. He has attended one workshop on teaching pedagogy.

 

Program Outcome (POs)

  • PO 1. Engineering knowledge : Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • PO 2. Problem analysis : Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
